What Nexus stores, why it stores it, and how you can have it removed.
Nexus is a Discord bot, and almost everything it stores exists to make its own commands work: remembering your level, your warning history in one server, or how many coins you've earned. This policy explains what that data is, where it lives, and how to get rid of it.
Nexus never sees anything outside of the servers it's added to and the messages/interactions Discord delivers to it there. It has no access to your DMs unless you message it directly, and no access to other Discord servers it isn't a member of.
Nexus stores the minimum needed to run each feature a server's administrators turn on. This is everything it may retain:

Nexus does not log or retain the general content of your messages. Message text is only read in the moment to check things like auto-moderation filters or level-up cooldowns, and is not saved afterward — the one exception is a short-lived, in-memory cache of the single most recently deleted message per channel, used by /snipe, which is overwritten by the next deletion and is never written to disk.
Data is used only to operate the feature it belongs to: showing your rank, enforcing a server's auto-moderation rules, remembering a ticket's support role, and so on. We don't use it for advertising, don't build profiles of you across servers, and don't sell or rent it to anyone.
A few commands call free, public third-party APIs to fetch content — for example a random meme, a joke, a trivia question, a dictionary definition, or a Bible verse. These requests typically send only the command's own input (like a word you asked to define); they don't include your Discord identity. We don't control these third parties' own data practices and encourage you to review them if you have concerns.
Music playback streams audio from YouTube on request. No Discord user data is sent to YouTube beyond what's needed to fetch the requested video's audio.
Data is stored per server and isn't shared between servers — a warning issued in one community has no effect on, and isn't visible in, any other. Data for a given server is generally kept for as long as Nexus remains in that server, so its features keep working. Removing Nexus from a server doesn't automatically erase that server's stored data, in case the server re-adds it later, but you can request deletion at any time — see the next section.
You can clear most of your own data yourself, at any time, without asking anyone:

A server's administrators can also request deletion of their entire server's stored data by removing Nexus and contacting us.
Nexus is only available through Discord and inherits Discord's own minimum age requirements. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone below the age Discord itself requires for an account.
Stored data is kept on infrastructure we control and isn't publicly accessible. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what's stored, including restricting access to the systems that hold it.
We may update this policy as Nexus's features change. Meaningful changes will be reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
